Wealth Enhancement is set to acquire AEGIS Financial, an independent registered investment adviser (RIA) operating in Oshkosh, Milwaukee, and Appleton in the US state of Wisconsin.
AEGIS Financial’s team, consisting of five advisers and 10 support staff, manages client assets exceeding $468m. It is spearheaded by president William Bowman.
The company offers a range of services, including financial planning, retirement, estate planning, wealth transfer, tax mitigation, and investment strategy.
AEGIS Financial is focused on developing long-term wealth strategies and optimising tax and aims to assist clients in preparing for various life events and financial opportunities.
Bowman said: “This partnership opens the door to expanded capabilities and new opportunities for our clients.
“Our firm and Wealth Enhancement share the same core values and are equally committed to the mission of empowering clients to achieve their financial goals for generations to come.”
Wise Rhino acted as the advisor to AEGIS Financial during the transaction. The acquisition is anticipated to be closed on 31 December 2025.
Wealth Enhancement chief strategy officer Jim Cahn said: “Wisconsin has been a strong growth market for us since we first entered it in 2018, and we look forward to building on that momentum.
“We’re excited to see the AEGIS Financial team continue to excel with the resources and backing of our national platform.”
Wealth Enhancement operates from 162 offices across the US and continues to expand its reach.
In a separate development this week, Wealth Enhancement completed the acquisition of Spectrum Wealth Management, an independent RIA, along with its affiliated certified public accounting firm, Putman Group.
This transaction brings an adviser, 14 financial professionals, and five support staff into Wealth Enhancement, with oversight of more than $182m in client assets.
“Wealth Enhancement to buy independent RIA AEGIS Financial” was originally created and published by Private Banker International, a GlobalData owned brand.
