Henderson Loggie, a Scottish chartered accountancy practice, has named Jay McKinnon as VAT director in its Aberdeen office.
The company anticipates that the appointment will bolster its specialist VAT and wider tax advisory work across Scotland.
McKinnon has more than 20 years’ experience in indirect tax. She has previously held senior positions at Big Four operators and worked in leadership roles in Dubai.
McKinnon said: “I am excited to join Henderson Loggie and to return to working with clients in Aberdeen and across Scotland. VAT is often seen as complex, but with the right guidance it can be managed strategically to support business ambitions.
“I look forward to working alongside colleagues to help clients navigate challenges and seize opportunities. Henderson Loggie’s values resonate strongly with me and their commitment to clients, staff and their local communities make it the pre-eminent place to be.
“The firm is dedicated to empowering people and organisations to succeed while making a positive impact in the communities it serves.”
McKinnon specialises in energy, utilities and renewables, construction, land and property, higher education, and the charity and not-for-profit sectors.
Henderson Loggie tax head Kimberley Thomson said: “Jay’s depth of knowledge in VAT and indirect taxes, particularly across energy and property, will be a tremendous asset to the firm.
“Her appointment reflects our commitment to investing in the very best expertise so that the businesses and organisations we work with can adapt confidently to regulatory changes, and plan for sustainable growth.”
In March last year, Henderson Loggie appointed Stephen Dodds as its new tax director.
The appointment was part of the company’s strategy to expand its tax advisory services across Scotland’s central belt.
“Scottish accountancy practice Henderson Loggie appoints new VAT director” was originally created and published by International Accounting Bulletin, a GlobalData owned brand.
