Packaging company ProMach has purchased American Holt, DMA Solution, and Pride Engineering – collectively referred to as AmHolt – from Arcline Investment Management.
Financial specifics of the deal remain undisclosed.
The deals expand ProMach’s capabilities in the consumer packaged goods sector.
American Holt and DMA Solution focus on the design and production of components used in packaging for industries including beverages, food, protein, and home care products.
Pride Engineering manufactures specialised components for aluminium can production.
With operations in Massachusetts, Quebec, and Minnesota, AmHolt’s workforce will be integrated into ProMach’s Primary Packaging division.
Led by group president Doug Stambaugh, this business unit consists of 14 brands that supply filling, capping, labelling, and product handling systems to consumer goods manufacturers worldwide.
ProMach president and CEO Mark Anderson commented: “The AmHolt companies are well recognised for their quality design and manufacture, as well as for their ability to partner with consumer-packaged goods companies to improve efficiency and uptime, and we are proud to welcome their world-class products into our portfolio.
“This acquisition reinforces our commitment to providing a best-in-class, comprehensive experience for our customers. The synergies with other ProMach companies are exciting for both our company and our customers.”
Amholt’s former CEO Cliff Gilbert will take on the position of senior vice president within ProMach’s Primary Packaging unit.
Gilbert said: “Joining ProMach is an exciting opportunity that will allow us to continue and expand our vision to be a world-class solution provider.”
In recent years, ProMach has expanded with a series of acquisitions.
Last month, it acquired DFT Technology, a company specialising in the thermal treatment of food products.
In 2024, ProMach acquired Mexican pressure-sensitive and radio-frequency identification (RFID) labels producer Etiflex.
This followed the acquisitions of Italian flexible packaging machinery manufacturer Reepack in 2022 and Serpa Packaging Solutions in 2021.
“ProMach acquires American Holt and Pride Engineering from Arcline Investment” was originally created and published by Packaging Gateway, a GlobalData owned brand.
