XTB hires ex-Revolut marketer

Entering the second month of the year, brokers and
regulators are stepping up leadership changes and strategic hires. Zoe Gralinska-Sakai joined XTB as Head of Regional Marketing for the UK, France, and Italy.

Gralinska-Sakai entered her new role after more than three years at Revolut, where she held several senior marketing roles in Poland and remotely. Most recently she served as Global Brand Marketing Manager following a prior position as Creative Marketing Manager focused on regional growth in Central and Eastern Europe.

Trade Nation appoints new Portugal CEO

In Europe, Trade Nation named Luis Raposo dos Santos as the
new Portugal CEO. He will be based in Lisbon, where the broker is establishing
a dedicated local presence.

Last year, Trade Nation set up a new entity in the region
and started hiring for several key roles to support it, mainly in compliance,
including a Head of Compliance, Risk Manager, and System Administrator.

IG Japan CEO departs

At the same time, Tomoharu Furuichi exited his role as Representative Director and CEO of IG Japan. He had held the position for
nearly seven years.

Previously, Furuichi served as CEO of GILT Groupe, an online luxury retail company. Separately, IG Securities, the Japanese arm of IG Group, has stopped offering cryptocurrency ETF CFDs following guidance from Japan’s Financial Services Agency.

Ex-MultiBank marketer joins ANAX Capital

Meanwhile, Yazan Shakfeh assumed the role of Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Operations at ANAX Capital. The firm received a license in the UAE last year, which permits it to offer access to international markets, including OTC derivatives, CFDs, and spot foreign exchange.

The company is chaired by Tabinda Sanpal, who also holds a majority stake in SSB Bazar Trading LLC, a firm licensed as a Foreign Portfolio Investor for trading Indian equities and derivatives. It has a capital of about $8 million and operates from offices in Aspin Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai.

Trading Technologies names new Chief Product Officer

Also, this week, Trading Technologies promoted Reena Raichura
to Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer. The move comes less than a
year after she joined the company as Managing Director for core platform
product management.

Raichura will lead the next phase of its product evolution,
with responsibility for building and delivering the platform strategy and
improving planning, preparation and go-to-market execution across the product
function.

Sarah Court appointed ASIC chair

In the regulatory space, Sarah Court is set to become
Chairwoman of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. Court,
currently ASIC’s Deputy Chair since 2021, brings a strong enforcement
background to the role.

With her appointment, women will now helm all five of the
country’s key economic regulators. It is the first in the nation’s history and
a clear reflection of shifting leadership dynamics across the financial sector.

Blueberry has a new head of marketing MENA

Magdy Mohamed is joining Blueberry as the Head of Marketing
for MENA. His appointment follows the recent promotion of Christopher
Nelson-Smith to Chief Operating Officer at Blueberry Markets, after serving as
the firm’s Head of Trading and Operations.

The company has also been expanding its regional footprint,
recently becoming the Official Online Trading Partner of the Bonds Flying Roos
ahead of the SailGP Abu Dhabi Grand Final.

Traze names Hristo Marinov LATAM director

Lastly, Traze appointed Hristo Marinov as Regional Director for LATAM as part of its ongoing expansion across Latin America and other

FSCA, CySEC, and FSA.
