Uncle Sam is about to release February’s inflation figures.
Keep in mind the report won’t include the recent surge in crude oil prices. Our Event Guide for the U.S. February CPI report suggests inflation likely continued to rise, but probably not at a pace strong enough to push FOMC members toward rate hikes.
If the CPI data meets expectations or comes in a bit softer, NZD/USD and USD/CHF’s charts could start leaning toward dollar weakness.
